Make and Deploy a Global Tournament - Your Class has been Challenged to a Tournament, What do you do? | How do students participate? | Viewing Progress of Tournament
MrNussbaum.com Premium allows teachers to use any of the 18 available games in interclass or intraclass tournaments. The interclass (global) tournament allows one teacher's classroom to battle another teacher's classroom in any of the games. Because the outcome of the global tournament is decided by the highest average score, classes with different numbers of students can battle. A winner cannot be declared until all participants on each side have played.
Making/Deploying a Regular Tournament
To begin, click on the "Global Tournaments" tab in the control menu. On the new page, scroll down to "Register New Global Tournaments". Fill in the required fields. Use the calendar icons to set a start date and end date for the tournament. The tournament cannot begin before your designated start time, and will end at your designated end time. If some participants have not played in the global tournament before the end date, than those scores will not be included in the tournament. When you are done click "submit". See picture below for more details.

When you click submit, a new page will appear. The Global tournament you just
registered should appear under the
"My Registered Global Tournaments" heading.
Deploying a Global Tournament -
Your new tournament has been registered. It is now time to deploy it. Scroll down to the heading that reads "Deploy My Global Tournament". Select your newly registered tournament in the undeployed global tournaments drop-down menu. After you select the tournament, you will be directed to a page with a list of teachers and their classes (all in your grade level). To select a class to challenge, you must select from the list of classes provided in the drop-down menus on the right. See below.

When you select a class, you will be directed to a new page. Scroll to the bottom of the page and type in a message to that teacher regarding the tournament you have registered. The challenged teacher can then accept or reject the challenge. Click "Deploy" when finished. When you click "Deploy," your tournament is ready to begin. You just have to wait for the response of the challenged teacher. See the picture below.

How do you accept a challenge from another teacher?
You can see if any other teacher has challenged your classroom to a global tournament by clicking on the "Global Tournaments" tab in the control menu. Then, scroll down to the bottom of the page to the heading that reads "My Global Tournament Challenges". If you have been challenged, there will be a message. You can click "Accept Challenge" on the right side of the message. See the picture below.

Students participate by logging in as "school users" and clicking on "Global Tournaments" in the control menu. If the teacher has accepted the challenge, the drop-down menu under the heading "Play in a Global Tournament" will be available for students on the Global Tournaments page. The student must simply select the game from the menu to have his or her scores registered in the tournament. Students must access the game from the Global Tournaments page to have scores recorded.
Viewing Progress of Tournament
When the student is finished playing, the game score will automatically be recorded in the tournament. After playing the game, the student will be re-directed back to the tournament section. Students can view the progress of the tournament and see how everyone else is doing by scrolling to the bottom of the page and selecting the tournament from the menu under the "View Deployed Global Tournament Status" section. The results are shown in a table like the example below. After a student plays in the global tournament, he or she may not play in that registered tournament again. The class with the highest average score wins!
