Managing the Messaging System
MrNussbaum.com Premium allows teacher-to-student, student-to-teacher, and student-to-student communication. Student-to-student communication can be disabled by teachers. The messaging system works as a sort of an in-house e-mail system.
Teachers - to start messaging, click on "students" and scroll down. Follow the directions below.
Students - to start messaging, log on as a school user and click "Messages". Reading and Sending messages is self-explanatory.

Click on the "students" tab and scroll to the bottom of the page. Messages from students will be listed under the section "Messages From My Students". You can delete your students' messages at any time. See the picture below.

Sending Messages to Students
Click on the "students" tab and scroll to the bottom. Type your message in the field provided in the "Send Messages to My Students" section. Use the drop down menu and select the student to send a message to, or, select all students. You can delete your messages at any time.
How do my Students Read Messages From Me?
When students log in as "School Users," they can click on "messages" in the School User control menu. Messages will be listed in the "Messages From Teachers" section.
How do my Students Send Messages to Me?
When students log in as "School Users," they click on "messages" in the School User control menu. There will be a field in which students can compose a message to teachers in the "Send Messages to Teachers" section.
Student-to-Student Messaging
As long as student-to-student messaging has not been disabled by the teacher, students can use the same page that they send to and receive messages from teachers, to send to and receive messages from their classmates. The forms used for these actions are toward the bottom of the page.
Disable Messages
By default, the student messaging system is enabled for all students. To disable messaging, click on the "students" tab. Select the class of interest using the drop-down menu. When your list of student appears, click on "disable messages" on the right side of the screen. You must disable messages on a student-by-student basis. To enable messages, click on "enable messages" in the right side next to the listed student.
* Please note that students who use the messaging system in an inappropriate manner (using profanity, defaming other students or teachers, posting interent links to inappropriate sites, or posting any material that can be deemed inappropriate) are in violation of the MrNussbaum Premium terms of service and may have their account suspended. Repeated infractions may result in the suspension of teacher accounts. It is important that you occasionally monitor the student messaging system by logging in as students.
